Glorifying God Through Poetry

A Servant's Prayer To God
As I journey in the path of life, Lord, guide me and order my steps. Cover me with your holy presence, Lead me in the path of righteousness, Give me endurance that I may not falter. As I set goals for Gods glory, Increase my faith and sharpen my vision, Dont let doubts hover around to bother me, But let my God-given faith soar up as an eagle. As I journey in the path of faith, Direct my steps according to your blessed will, Give me the grace of wisdom to preach the Holy Book, Open the eyes of the lost, That they may see your loving-kindness and great salvation. Have mercy on us here on earth, Oh Lord! The uncertainty of life cannot be ignored, The intimidating presence of evil cannot be hid. Remember me, Oh Lord, and make me an instrument, An instrument of righteousness against the power of evil. Dont let Death visit my life prematurely, But bless the remaining years of my life and use it wonderfully, Use me continually as a vessel of your grace, mercy and truth. Lord, make my life a living testimony to touch others lives, Remember me, Oh Lord, and bless your servant, May your blessed goal for me be fulfilled marvelously, Lord, make my life a part of Gods miracle for your honor and glory.

Through The Eyes Of Faith
Through faith, this poem was composed for the glory of God.
through the eyes of faith, the blind can see. through the eyes of faith, beyond the horizon you'll see. through the eyes of faith, shadows of doubt you'll not see. through the eyes of faith, peace, love and joy you'll see. through the eyes of faith, hope is settled in the midst of a troubled sea. through the eyes of faith, you'll remember the Lord walking on the sea. through the eyes of faith, outstretched hand of Jesus you'll see. through the eyes of faith, greater things you'll see. through the eyes of faith, God who made your eyes you'll see!

Ephemeral Crown
It was the prime of my youth, It was the prime of my strength. I befriended the world, And the world gave me gold. It was a wonderful world of gold, But I realized I'm getting old. Crown of gold! Crown of gold! Will you leave me when I'm old? Golden crown! Golden crown! Will you stay forever and be my crown? Look at the beautiful clouds in the sky, Will you follow the ephemeral clouds in the sky? Then suddenly, I remembered the crown of thorns, Oh! how wretched I am Oh Lord...it was for me!

Day Runner
Running shoes pounded down the street, Marathon race another test of faith. Steady strides against the wind, fartleck carboloading determined to win. One-mile mark came my second wind, what a euphoric joy, we were led to win. Oh Asahel, likened to a wild roe, Ahimaaz, good tidings were expected from you. Cushi, you bear the awaited tidings, John, in due time we heard your tidings. Oh Pheidippides, honored by great men. It's a real joy to hear Chaerete Nicomen! It has been my longing to be a finisher, the remaining miles I've run a finisher! Now, another course to endure, Christian race of life Im sure. The greatest victory was won at Calvary, Jesus saved me and gave me victory! Here comes a day runner! I'm not alone, running and shouting, Hail We've Won!

My Life
My life, Believer's life, A wonderful life, A God-given life, So precious a gift, Eternal life, eternal gift, The world cannot afford to give. God-given life, a blessed life, The best gift I can give, To God, my life I give.
