God’s Blessing Upon His Servant

Bless thy servant Oh Lord,

Make him a blessing to others,

As he serves thee and waits for thy coming,

Keep him shining brightly for thee.

Bless thy servant Oh Lord,

Thou created him with a purpose,

Let him fulfil thy blessed will for his life,

Let thy Holy Name be glorified.

Bless thy servant Oh Lord,

Bless the works of his hands,

Show thy power through his earthly life,

Let others see thy mighty hands.

Bless thy servant Oh Lord,

Give him wisdom to live virtuously,

   Guide him in the way of peace and truth,

Satisfy him with thy loving-grace.

Bless thy servant Oh Lord,

Help him continually to live by faith,

Open his eyes so he may see thy miraculous works,

Let him enjoy thy strengthening presence.

Bless thy servant Oh Lord,

Guard him from the deceitfulness of sin,

Progressively sanctify his body, soul and spirit,

Thy holiness will surely exude from his life.

Bless thy servant Oh Lord,

Touch his lips and let him speak,

Let him proclaim thy great salvation so wonderful and free,

His life is yours; let him praise thy Holy Name.
