Utmost Pleasure In Christ
Spiritual pleasure for man’s soul,
Gives delight, surmounts grief and sorrows,
Can’t be bought with silver and gold,
Neither be attained by truth-rejecting men,
Blessed is the man that desires such pleasure!
Everlasting pleasure, the ultimate joy,
Unheard of and concealed from world-friendly people,
Unknown pleasure in this dying world,
Longing of the prudent and God-fearing men,
Amazingly revealed and written in God’s Holy Book.
Eternal pleasure the desire of my soul,
It makes my heart sing in the night,
It makes me leap for joy in the morning,
Where can you find such joy, Oh simple man?
Sad to say, but the world could not give.
Good News for you, Oh simple man,
Jesus left the
splendour of Heaven for you and me,
He shed His precious blood and died at Calvary,
On the third day, powerfully arose from the dead,
Believe on Him and the joy of salvation is yours for eternity.
